Mailblocks was a remarkable email service based around strong anti-spam measures and a state of the art webmail interface. It was web 2.0 before there was a web 2.0.
For Mailblocks, the corporate website was it’s main sales tool. Therefore, the design language was to be clean, professional, and informative. Also paramount was keeping tight focus on user retention and registration flows and making conversion as painless and easy as possible.
While there I also provided art direction for collateral, banner ads, and worked with the dev team to produce the UI for the DEMO award winning Mailblocks 3.0 concept.
In mid 2004, Mailblocks was acquired by AOL and integrated into AOL’s webmail product.
